PERSONA

I adapted and directed a stage production of Ingmar Bergman’s film ‘Persona.’

After a complex process of adaption, having translated the film script from the original Swedish, the Bergman Foundation granted the rights for my adapted script and the show went on in February 2022.

Received as a ‘brilliant play’ and ‘a fever dream,’ the production was intense and hard-hitting. The play was sold out for its run at the Burton Taylor Studio stage of the Oxford Playhouse.
